Deciding to Cut My Hair

Over the last four years I have wanted nothing more but to experience the feeling of long hair. I had hair a little past my shoulders throughout high school and into my first year of college. When my hair started to grow again I swore that I would never cut it. I don't think past me would be too thrilled, but after having super long hair for the last year I have decided to cut it! Nothing crazy, but at least a good 4-5 inches (A lot to a girl who promised she would never cut her hair ever!) The purpose of this post is to remember that although something might seem super important to us (our appearance, boys, etc.) our perspective can change and it is perfectly acceptable to change your mind! New experiences also help us grow as humans and as beautiful women, so if there is something that you want to change in your life, DO IT! I have made many choices in my life and then changed my mind, so ignore negative people and do what makes your heart happy.

Bronze Smoky Eye | Morphe 35T Palette

Morphe 35T Palette

Hello everyone,
I have been loving this Morphe Palette lately! It is called the 35T Palette and I find it to be very comparable to the Naked 3 palette. What I like most about this palette is the color ranges in the fact that they can create many different looks but is mainly focused around a pink/taupe theme with a splash of gold tones. One thing that I did not like about this palette is that there are very few transitional crease shades/ matte shades as well as finding it difficult to find a nice highlight shade that didn't have a hint of pink or gold. Other than that I think this palette is beautiful and very fun to create a colorful smoky eye without going too crazy! I love the warm colors and if you are in the market for a fun palette to play with color without going overboard, this is the palette for you! The consistency of this palette is very buttery and rich and the colors are very pigmented and easy to blend. It is on sale at morphebrushes.com for $22.99.

Everyday Curling using the Nume 25mm Wand!

Hi Everyone! Hope you're having a fantastic day! Here is my hair routine for when I am in the mood for curls. I used my trusty Nume Wand which is fantastic! If you do not have this brand of wand though, do not fret. Anyone with a similar size wand or curling iron used as a wand will work, just as long as the wand is the same size and does not taper to a smaller size on one side. Let me know if there are any other types of hair routine/makeup routines you would like to see from me!

Hello Everyone!

My name is Christie, and welcome to my blog! I can't believe I'm finally sitting down and creating my own blog, and I am incredibly excited for the future. For my first post, I just want everyone to get to know me better.

First of all, I am from the midwest, and that is where I intend to stay. I am in love with the culture and atmosphere here, and while most might disagree, it is absolutely beautiful and charming to me. Now because I do live in a place with few people, it was hard for me to find my place of belonging. I have always loved hair and make-up, but not many other people admired it quite as much as I, and through the years I learned to not try to stand out and be crazy with my fashion or make-up choices.

That is the reason I have decided to start my YouTube channel as well as this blog. I want to share  my message that no matter where you live or what you do, no one has the ability to decide how you should dress yourself or style your hair and make-up besides YOU. You are the creator of your life. I hope that I can inspire a girl who maybe is scared about make-up and teach her to successfully wear it and make it suitable for where she wants to wear it to, whether that be to school, on a date, a wedding, or just to the local grocery store.

So follow along with me on my journey to finding myself and my style, and maybe you'll learn some information you didn't know before!

P.S. I would love some ideas of what you guys would like to see, such as what I wear to college classes, how I do my make-up, or answering beauty related questions!
